Destination? Ninja Sword Fight! - Feat. Steve Lind and Nick Division

Wednesday, 07 March 2007

Destination? Ninja Sword Fight

!!!Not wanting to scare you off or anything but it’s Destination? Ninja Sword Fight!!!

Flying in to fight for the east coast are Steve Lind and Nick Division, while in the corner for the wild west, Destination? residents the Signal Drivers and Karl Sav, take side with local lads the Nyquist Freqs, the Loose Screwz and Fractured Beats. It might seem a little lopsided but word on the ninja grapevine is those east coast ninja’s have the stealth moves and sweet grooves that will rock Destination? like it’s never been rocked before.

Steve Lind had a meteoric rise through the DJs ranks catapulting him from bars and nightspots in Queensland and Canberra before demand for his skills saw him settle in Sydney where he a resident, alongside Bass Kleph and Dopamine, at Break Inn on Friday nights and the world famous Laundry on Saturdays. Recently Steve had the job of keeping 35 000 punters satisfied when he played the main stage at Sydney’s Good Vibrations, his set flanked on one side by Snoop Dogg and the other by the Beastie Boys. With support all across the country, it was only just the Desti crowds were treated to the Steve Lind experience too.

Nick Division – MC, DJ, Producer and somewhat of a saviour to the Melbourne breaks scene – first cut his teeth in Adelaide before moving on to bigger and better things in Victoria. Nick’s night BuGHAUZ has grown prolifically since it’s inception, and head honcho Nick with his no-holds-barred approach to music and his mentalist style as a freestyle MC is leading the way, playing host to acts such has Tayo, Groove Diggerz and Rennie Pilgrem. Destination? will be Nick’s West Australian debut.

Fresh from their own interstate tour, the Signal Drivers and Karl Sav are guaranteed to have some fresh tunes swapped with their producer mates and straight out of their own busy studios. It’s been a while between Desti drinks for the Nyquist Freqs, but rest assured these guys have not been resting on their laurels as Ambar’s Saturday regulars will attest to. Super fun trio the Loose Screwz have been building quite a name for themselves around the traps and they farewell one of their members this evening, so expect a special set from them while Loaded Dice resident duo Fractured Beats have had sweet start to 07, supporting the likes of Groove Diggerz and Tayo.

Destination?’s resident musicians will be providing the live element as always.

Friday March 30th @ Ambar Nightclub - Music starts at 2100

104 Murray St Perth

It’s a HEAVY line up for the March Desti folks, one not to be missed.
